Travel Registered Nurse - Subject Matter Expert – Medical & Behavioral Health Compliance New

Schedule: 3-Day Work Week (4 days as needed) | Travel: National | Type: Contract

Role Overview
Conduct on-site inspections of ICE detention facilities to ensure compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and PBNDS/NDS standards. You will evaluate operations, provide real-time technical assistance, and produce detailed reports on medical or behavioral health deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspections: Review healthcare and behavioral health units to determine compliance with national and ICE detention standards.
• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive written reports (QRP/QMC) and provide ratings/narratives on findings and observations.

Required Qualifications

• General Experience RN, PA, NP, or MD: 
  • Licensure: Current RN, PA, NP, or MD
  • General Experience 10+ years in healthcare/behavioral health within a secure custodial setting (prisoners/detainees/residents).
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years administering a healthcare/behavioral unit for a detained population.
  • Specialized Experience: 2+ years inspecting detention facilities, reviewing medical/behavioral records for policy violations, and conducting compliance interviews. (5 years of admin experience may substitute for the 2 years of inspection experience).
• General Experience Mental Health
  • Licensure:  Achieved license as a [insert behavioral health]
  • General Experience: no less than 10 years of experience working in behavioral health care at a secure custodial setting that houses prisoners/detainees/residents
  • Leadership Experience: 5+years of specialized experience in the administration of a health care unit for a detained population. 
  • Specialized Experience: 2+ years inspecting detention facilities, reviewing medical/behavioral records for policy violations, and conducting compliance interviews. (5 years of admin experience may substitute for the 2 years of inspection experience.
